Can I use the VERUS analyzers off-line?

An off-line version is now available and will be automatically added to any existing user accounts.  On any paid subscriptions, a "Download" button is now available on the Analyzer's page, next to the on-line "Launch" button.

What are the minimum system requirements for using the application?

There are no minimum system requirements but the following are recommended.

1) Use the most current version of your internet browser - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari 
2) Upgrade your Flash Player plug-in here (free)
3) Use a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or greater
4) *** We’ve recently (Jan 28th 2010) discovered that Adobe’s recent release v9.3 of their Adobe Acrobat Reader has caused some unusual behaviour of the Off-Line version of our analyzer.  To ensure a trouble-free experience, please be sure to “Save” the file instead of trying to “Open” it after clicking the Download button.  The first time you try to open this file from your hard drive, Adobe will warn you about the content of the file.  Select “Trust This Document Always” from the Options button.  The screen will then appear blank.  Close the PDF window and re-open.  The file will now behave properly and open whenever double clicked.  

User Tips and Tricks?

1) Inputting Values – Please be sure to highlight the entire contents of each field before entering the new value.  If you do not replace the entire contents with a new value your input may not be reflected in the calculations.
2) Saving Scenarios – The analyzers rely on your local Flash Player to save scenarios.  Always print and save a copy of any details.  Because information is saved to the Flash Player, the following limitations apply:

a) Saved data can only be accessed from the computer on which it was originally saved.
b) Each time a new revision is made available, saved scenarios in the new version will no longer be available.  Details saved in the offline version will continue to be accessible.
c) Please do not elect to “Save Scenario as Default”, as this has been known to cause errors.    

Do I need multiple membership logins if I subscribe to multiple analyzers?

No, all analyzers that you have subscribed to are located within your on-line account.

Can I use the Canadian Property Investment Analyzer to assess a US property?

No, the rules for investment properties are different in Canada and the United States.  You should use the Canadian analyzer to assess real-estate opportunities in Canada, and the US analyzer to assess real-estate opportunities in the United States.

What if I forgot my password?

Click the "Forgot Password" link in the Login box at the top right of any page.

How do I update my membership profile?

Once logged into your account, click on your name which appears at the bottom right of this page in the footer. You can update your name, username and password from there.
